Statue of Liberty National Monument
Standing proudly in New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty has welcomed millions to America since its dedication on October 28, 1886. A gift from France to celebrate the centennial of American independence, this 305-foot (including pedestal) copper statue symbolizes freedom and democracy.
